Cullman School

Channing Tatum – American actor and model, known for his role as Tyler Gage in youth films "Step Up" and "Step Up 2." Tatum was born in the small town of Cullman, Alabama. Channing – the eldest of eight children. Tatum family moved from Alabama to Mississippi (where they still live in his mother's relatives), when the future actor was 6 years old. In his veins flows the blood of Native Americans, Irish and French. As a child, Tatum was an energetic and quite problematic teenager.

Even then, Tatum decided it would be an actor – he wanted to play the hero of thrilling adventures. However, parents of Channing, the mother and father, Glenn Kay Tatum, decided to channel the energy of a son to a peaceful course – Baseball, football, soccer. In the 9th grade, he enrolled in private school Tampa Catholic High School. Tatum says of the rumors about his childhood: "I went to military school – parents raised me to choose between a military academy or private school." It was at Tampa Catholic Channing decided to earn a football scholarship to college – and in the senior class does he do it: Channing arrives at Glenville State College – University of West Virginia, but soon loses interest in school. He returns home to his parents and realizes that disappoint them. Tatum took on any job – a builder, an assistant in a hospital for animals, a salesman in clothing stores and at the same time developed his talent and Executive Club street dance.
